Summary

Roger Brown has it all. He's the country's most successful headhunter. He has a beautiful wife and a magnificent house. And to maintain this lifestyle, he's also a highly accomplished art thief. At a gallery opening, his wife introduces him to Clas Greve. Not only is Greve the perfect candidate for a position with one of Roger's high-profile clients, he is also in possession of 'The Calydonian Boar Hunt' by Rubens, one of the most sought-after paintings in the world.

Roger sees his chance to be rich beyond his wildest dreams and starts planning his boldest heist yet. But soon, he runs into trouble - and this time money is the least of his worries.

Fantastic!

Typical Nesbo. Great story and the best narrator out there with the marvelous Sean Barret!

Started slow, but oh boy!

the first couple of chapters were good, but not upto usual standard, then got going really well and made sense of the beginning.

Excellent

An excellent book. The story is very good, with surprising twists and turns, surprising the listener and inviting a non stop listening experience. The narration is very good, as always, with Sean Barret, making a good story even a better listen.

Recommended.

Worth a listen

If you like Henning Mankell style of writing books you will like this book. The characters are likeable and the book moves at a good pace (not as quick as say Simon Kernick though). The narrator is very good and he definitely adds to the story.

A great listen, 5 stars all the way

Sean Barrett brings a great story to life, wish that Jo Nesbo would concentrate on these stories as Hole is getting stale

Brilliant

Where does Headhunters rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top 10.

Who was your favorite character and why?

No favourites and none of them particularly likeable but that's not the point of the storyline (in my opinion)

Which character – as performed by Sean Barrett – was your favourite?

None

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This doesn't apply to this book.

Any additional comments?

One of the cleverest and most brilliantly written thrillers I have ever listened to.

Superb

No two Jo Nesbo books are alike. A lot of authors write what is basically the same book. James Herbert and PD James do that and as a result, I see them as a bit of light entertainment. With Jo Nesbo, the stories are not formulaic or predicable. This is a fine example and extremely well read by the narrator. I love that despite not having the time to read now that I have a baby, I can still enjoy such good literature.
