Summary

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable, audiobook edition of Havana Storm by Clive Cussler, read by Scott Brick.

While investigating a toxic outbreak in the Caribbean, Pitt unwittingly becomes involved in a post-Castro power struggle for the control of Cuba.

Pitt's children, marine engineer Dirk and oceanographer Summer, are on an investigation of their own, chasing an Aztec stone that may reveal the whereabouts of a vast historical Aztec treasure.

The stone was believed to have been destroyed on the battleship Maine in Havana Harbour in 1898, bringing them both to Cuba as well - and squarely into harm's way. These three are no strangers to a dangerous situation...but none so dire as the one facing them now.

A Cracking Yarn!

Would you consider the audio edition of Havana Storm to be better than the print version?

This is a tricky question, while reading books allows your imagination to breathe life into the story, an audio book lets you get swept up the rollercoster of an exciting tale, so they are both similar yet different experiences. I think I preferred listening to this one...

What did you like best about this story?

This is a great book, which I enjoyed a lot. Cussler's passion and knowledge about his own research and diving experiences shines through and makes the story more authentic and all the better for it.

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favourite?

The main characters: Dirk and Summer his sister. I loved the way when their lives were threaten their bond as siblings came to the surface.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"Havana Storm" - Below the surface - Clive and Dirk Cusslers' greatest novel now on the big screen.

the guy who reads it......

great story and I love the series - but the narrator sounded bored or so monotone after a while I found myself switching off. penguin audio if recommend you find someone else for Dirk Pitts action adventure novels the narrator took a lot of the excitement away here.
