Publisher's Summary

An American diplomat goes missing and ex-Special Forces operative Jon Reznick joins a top-secret team, led by FBI Assistant Director Martha Meyerstein, to help track him down.

The team believes that there may be a terrorist group - perhaps Islamists - who have kidnapped him, as the diplomat's area of expertise is the Persian Gulf. But Reznick is training his sights on an unlikely candidate - a leading Washington DC surgeon.

But as the team itself comes under attack, and the 9/11 commemoration approaches, it becomes clear that the kidnapping is part of a much bigger plot, one that threatens not only New York, but the whole country too.

    "Great Story"

Great story that overcame average narrator. Leaves us waiting for next book which can irritate some.

    "NARRATOR OF MANY BAD VOICES"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

THE NARRATOR TRIED TO DO TOO MANY DIFFERENT VOICES, NOT DOING A VERY GOOD JOB WITH ANY OF THEM.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

SUCH A POOR STORY, DO NOT CONSIDER ANY PARTICULAR ASPECTS.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Hayward Morse?

    ANYBODY ELSE

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    "Good Story, Narrator Bad"

I enjoyed the story and the narrator 's regular voice is fine but his character voices, especially the female voices is painful. I almost stopped because I couldn't stand his voice. The story wasn't good enough to make the narrator tolerable.
