Summary

Each girl survived an unthinkable horror. Now someone wants them dead....

They were the victims of separate massacres. Grouped together by the press and dubbed the 'Final Girls', they are treated like something fresh out of a slasher movie. When something terrible happens to Lisa, put-together Quincy and volatile Sam finally meet. Each one influences the other. Each one has dark secrets. And after the bloodstained fingers of the past reach into the present, each one will never be the same.

Loved it!

A great listen. Good pace. Good twists in the end. Just when you thought you knew what happened it didn’t.

I don't think I'm the target audience.

This is a well written book, but as a 37 year old man I found it quite hard to get through. It reminded me of the slasher teen horrors that came out in the late 90's, Scream, I know what you did last summer etc. Unfortunately I found all the characters unrelatable and annoying. Lots of clichéd characters as well, such as the cop.

The narrator does a good job with the female characters (although they're annoying, but that's not the narrator's fault!), but the male characters sound like Kevin in Home Alone imitating his father to book into the Plaza.

Very disappointed!

After reading all the reviews I was excited for this book. It sadly did not deliver.
I found the Narrator one dimension, her voice for the main Character Quincey was fine but the other women characters sounded like children.
I didn’t find a single character likeable, everyone seemed kinda sucky and it was hard to root for our main girl.

The book overall was entertaining but I won’t be recommending to friends. Overall I’d give it a 6 and half out of 10!

Slow start fun finish

Well what can I say about this one! It starts quite slow and I found myself struggling to keep going … about half way through it picks up! And the last few chapters slapped!! Overall definitely recommend.

Slow start, but a good story overall

I found this book to have quite a slow start to it and was left wondering throughout the beginning where the plot was heading, but it was enough to keep me intrigued. Overall, I found the book to be enjoyable and was listening intently towards the end which is when the book really started to gain some momentum. All in all, I would recommend!

Decent

A decent way to will away the time while you multitask (for me, playing stardew valley)

Robot voice

Few minutes into this audiobook and can’t stand the satnav style reading voice. I read out my work documents with more style and excitement.

Good writer, capturing story, complicated twists

The story is a bit over the top but really capturing. This is the second book I listened from the same author. Both were very enjoyable. The first one was: Lock every door. I gave a higher rating to that. I look forward to his next work.

Entertaining

I enjoyed this. The audio felt rather dragged out in parts however, and I would have liked more flashback scenes. Good ending though, I wasn't really expecting that so made a nice surprise.
