Tara is on a knife edge. She's focused not on her future with Danny but on her past. A trainee solicitor, Tara knows enough to put her corrupt former employer and his drug-baron client in prison for years. Till the case comes to court she needs sanctuary, and she prays this country refuge is it.
Danny and Tara are at the heart of a drama that's racing towards a deadly conclusion. Can the innocent emerge unscathed, or was Kirsty's murder only the beginning?

Good story lines with lots of twists. Two storys in one but easy to follow and all comes together in one twist at the end. John Francome is a very good alternative to Dick Francis. I will definatly read more of his novels.
I bought this for a light listen.I have read books by the author previously so was quite happy with the content. However this was destroyed by the editing and narration. The story changes frequently between plot lines and characters but the editor has not put the slightest pause between scenes which left me constantly having to stop and re-assess which part I was actually listening to. The narrator's Northern Irish accent was mediocre and kept slipping added to which he made very little effort to differentiate between genders. All in all I will stay with reading any future books narrated by David John
Twists and turns and an unexpected ending. John Francome is as good, if not better, than ever!
