After a tree falls on Tom Riordan's house, landing him in the hospital, the police discover a mountain of junk piled high in his home. Locals in Excelsior, Minnesota - including Betsy and her Crewel World Monday Bunch - offer to help with the cleanup while Tom recuperates. But when Tom is found murdered in his hospital bed, the sole heir to his property - his cousin, Valentina - becomes the number-one suspect. Betsy believes there's more to the case than meets the eye, but finding clues to the killer's identity in the clutter Tom left behind will be like looking for a needle in a haystack....

This was one of the best in the series! I so hope that there are more to come, BUT only narrated by Susan Boyce. I had to return the last three because narrator was awful! Story plot and characters are wonderful! Love Betsy and Godwin!!!
I have read and enjoyed all of the books in this series. The last one was a bit lacking but this one made up for it. This latest installment had plenty of twists and turns, keeping me guessing. The characters were all interesting and enjoyable. As always Betsy and the gang were prominently featured and helped made the story more enjoyable.
"good and fun to stitch to."
one of her better stories with accurate information on coins. lots of twists and turns
"welcome back Susan Boyce"
Yes. Susan reading is so much better for the character
Tom take I liked his resourceful ways, even if he did steal a lot.
Better then most.
Both laugh and cried.
Can't wait for the next one.
"Not the best in series!"
Not one of series Best but still entertaining - It is always great to visit the warm storytelling of Crewel World!
"Another fun mystery!"
I love these books. I'm always surprised by the killer's identity. Also, as a stitcher myself, I love hearing the different stitching terms used across the country. Glad author is continuing to write in this series.
"Fun Story Yet,"
I so enjoy Monica Ferris mysteries! They are fun, 'clean,' and intriguing. However, I didn't feel this story had the depth and intrigue most of her stories have.
I will continue to read Monica's books! I SO enjoy her stories!
Yes. I've listened to every one of these mysteries.
It didn't hold up to the rest of the series. The favorite characters -- Jill, Goddy, Shelly, the crazy artist -- were missing. And Betsy seemed like she needed a Prozac.
Consistent, easy to follow.
Hopefully the future books will go back to the Betsy we know and love.
