An Irish mobster. A missing friend. Two loyalties, ripping me apart.
I had a plan.
Get in, get my information, and get out. Easy, right?
Turns out, infiltrating the Irish mafia isn't exactly what I thought it would be. I just wanted a soldier. Someone I could flirt with to get me in the door.
That's when Lachlan Crow noticed me. Problem was, he wasn't a soldier. No, he was next in line for the throne of the Irish underworld. And he was determined to hate me from the outset. My sob story about needing a job? Yeah, he wasn't buying that either.
Too bad for him, I won't let anyone get in the way of my mission.
Who cares if we have some kind of crazy chemistry? He's the worst kind of wrong - and I would never in a million years be with a guy like him.
Because they took her from me, and I'm going to make them pay.

I really enjoyed the story and Tracy's voice was really suited to Mac, however, I wish this had been dual narration, having an Irish man's voice would really have brought it to life as listening to Tracy play Lachlan and the male parts, the Irish accent was off.
When I started this book I had a hard job getting into it I got close to tossing it, but stayed with it and was really pleased that I did good unexpected story , with lots of twists and turns will look forward to future books in series. Whilst the narrator did a super job my personal point of view would be to have a female and male narrator as Lachlan is a very strong role
"This Will Burn So Good"
So hot, it might burn! The Boston Underground is a steamy, sexy and dark mafia romance series that makes bad guys seem almost good... or at least, incredibly alpha males that will make you swoon. Oh, and definitely listen to this series - the narrators are amazing and enhance the story.
Yes I certainly have, Tracy Marks's performance is this book was outstanding maybe my favorite to date.
She is one of a very few female narrators that does not only a brilliant male voice, but accent. Her Boston accent was flawless, and her Irish accent was to die for.
Loved this whole story, and I think I loved it even more due to Tracy's performance. On to The Reaper, can't wait.
"An Edgy, Intense, Gripping Five Star Romance!"
Wow, I loved this story, and have so many great things to say about Crow which was written by A. Zavarelli and narrated by Tracy Marks. This story deserves all Five Stars, and if it was possible to give more stars, I would.
~ Crow has an edgy and intense plot told from both Mac and Lachlan's POV's. The story moves at a great pace, and has all kinds of twists. Mac goes in "unofficially" uncover to get information about her missing friend where she meets one of the leaders Crow Lachlan; however, she soon learns once you enter the mafia, you do not leave unless you go out in a body bag or if they will allow it.
~ The attractions between Lachlan and Mac was immediate, raw, intense, and they were drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Regardless of the secretes or mistrust between them, the sex scenes were primal, raw, and full of need. Lachlan dominated while Mac wanted to please.
~ I could feel my anxiety building waiting for the moment when Lachlan learns of Mac's betray, and really wanted to take few breaks throughout the story from all the intensity but was helpless and had to keep listening.
~ There is great character development throughout the story, and you got to know some of the characters and what they have been through.
~ The narrations by Tracy Marks is remarkable, and you could tell she put a lot of effort into narrating this story. I loved the accents and how each character had their own voice. She did a great job of projecting the different emotions throughout the story.
I've never been big fan of contemporary romances; however, this story was amazing, really held my attention, and could just possibly sway to the contemporary side. I highly recommend this story to fan of contemporary stories and likes them slightly on the darker side or with a mafia themes. Well worth my time! :-).

"Love....Against All Odds. 💕"
This book has so much going for it.....an interesting deep plot, likable characters, bad guys, action, suspense, love, and mystery. It's the kind of book that keeps you on the edge. You never know what to expect. It's a true "escape". The kind of story that you know would never be personally real but you enjoy the diversion. 😀 Loved the ending. 💑
Just my two cents: I truly enjoyed this book but I would have loved to learn a bit more of both Mack's and Lach's past. Some basic information was there....I just would have liked more details. Call me a romantic....but I still enjoy stories that have more romance than sex. I know...I know...you're going to say "this is a Mob story"....yes, I know and I would expect some sex, but when there is so much explicit sex in a book it can take away a lot of the sensual build up....the anticipation. But...dont let what I've said detur you especially if you enjoy a well written story filled with suspense and the rawness of gangsters 😬. Yes. I will definitely be on the lookout for more in this series. 😉
The narration was perfect. Each voice was unique and the accents were quite good. Doesn't get much better. Great job! 🐾
(Note: This book has explicit sex and strong language. Adults only recommended)

"Great Book, AWESOME Narration!"
This book was hard to rate because I loved so much of it but In between that I found it dragged a little too. It wasn't a lot but there were a few parts in the beginning that I wondered if it was going to pick up and go anywhere. There we also a few "out there" things that I just couldn't find believable. In the end I decided I enjoyed all the other stuff so much more than I disliked those few little things. This book has it all from danger to love and a super hot sexy couple with secrets! The narrator Tracy Marks was great, I love her voice and enjoyed her accents in this book.
"SIZZLING HOT - MOB ROMANCE DONE RIGHT!"
I've found a new TOP Author! Ashleigh Zavarelli spins a deep story full of visual and conversational support. I know and love the characters. I see and understand the world in which they live. I can't wait for the next listen!
It's that little twist of fate that collided the worlds of Crow and Mac. A collision that teetered on the edge of ruin for both. Neither wanting it but neither could stop it. Ooooo... very juicy.

Crow is a story full of lust, crime and intrigue. There are evil people on both sides, but there are good people as well. I was not happy at first getting through all the gangs, groups, mafias and mobs. A lot of people to follow and I sometimes found it hard to follow what was going on.
"Wow!!! Just Amazing! One Of The Best!"
This audiobook truly deserves over 5 stars! The author created an amazing story! I could not put it down. I was on the edge of my seat and what an amazing Rollercoaster ride it was! I was supposed to go to bed early last night! So much for that!
It has everything I look for in a book: action, danger, intrigue, suspense, drama, and romance! It is written in a Dual POV which I prefer. To top it off it also has A HEA ending! I'm looking forward to the next book in this series. Definitely a credit worthy audiobook!!!
The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life. I felt like she nailed the accents! The characters are well developed and you get to know Mack & Lachlan well.

4.5 "When a Butterfly Infiltrates the Irish Mob" Stars for the story and 5 stars for the narration!
What a fantastic debut to a mafia romance series! Moreover, I love that it takes place in Boston with ties to the Irish mob which brings a fresh perspective to one of my favorite romance sub-genres, as most of the other mob based romances I have read or listened to have taken place in the worlds of either the Italian or Russian mobs. Moreover, The Boston Underworld Series has all the elements that I look for in a great romantic suspense series: appealing characters, intricate suspense plots, and plenty of chemistry and heat-filled scenes! As if that's not enough reason to listen to this audiobook, Tracy Marks' narration was spot-on and really helped bring to life this fabulous story filled with mobsters and the tough heroines they end up falling in love with.
Mackenzie is tired of waiting for the cops to help her. Her friend Talia is missing and Mac is sure that the Irish mob is involved in her disappearance. Being the tough girl that she is--the daughter of a now deceased underground boxer who taught her how to fight--Mac decides to take things into her own hands. First, she hands one of the Irish mobsters his behind in an underground fight. However, when that doesn't prove to be enough to engage the Irish mob's interest in her, she applies for a position at one of their strip bars.
That certainly catches Lachlan Crow's attention. However, Mac has also garnered the attention of the Russian mob, and Lachlan, who knows that Mac is also hiding something, is determined to get to the bottom of why though he agrees to watch Mac for the Russian mob in the meantime. The problem with that assignment is that the closer he gets to Mac the more he wants her, and as one of the Irish mob's most promising up and comers, he knows he must marry one of the Russian mobsters' daughters to solidify and cement the two crime organizations' amicable relationship.
Will Mac be able to find her friend or at least determine what happened to her? Moreover, what is the Russian mob's true interest in Mac? And will Lachlan be able to stick with his long-term mob career plans by putting the organization first before his personal needs?
Tracy Marks delivers a stunning narration in Crow. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy the various voices that she created for the large cast, but she also managed to make each and everyone distinguishable. Moreover, Ms. Marks demonstrates her incredible range and facility with accents in this book as she creates a panoply of different accents, from Southie Boston to Irish accents to even Russian accents, Ms. Marks nails each and every one of them.
Additionally, Ms. Marks makes you truly feel the scene. Her rendition of the suspense filled scenes creates a sense of urgency and danger, and her performance of the more intimate scenes completely makes the listener feel the sensual nature of the passage being read.
All in all, I loved the fun ride in Crow, and really liked the tough as nails heroine, as well as, Lachlan's ability to both be an alpha protective while also knowing when to let his heroine take charge. Additionally, with the introduction of so many great secondary characters, I can't wait to continue on with this series in Book 2, Reaper.

I had started this book and then stopped it a chapter 2 as I figured I wouldn't be interested in the short part I had heard. Then last night I figured what the hell. Boy did I make a mistake when I stopped the first time. I just pulled and all-nighter because I could not stop. Please read this book of you like action, suspense, and great sex scenes. I can't wait to get the next book in the morning lol.
