Martina Cole back to her best. A truly stunning book made even better by Annie Aldington doing the reading. book of the year so far

TERRIFIC, FIRST BOOK TO MAKE ME CRY!
I love MCs books and there is no other narrator that is a brilliant as Annie Aldington, superb!
I must admit I did find it a bit samey and it didn't hold my attention completely until half way, maybe book 2 onwards. From then on it got going and I kept wanting to listen to it but at the same time didn't want it to end!
A few eye opening bits I had guessed earlier but that didn't stop it being a great read.
The ending is so touching and I never thought I would cry at a Martina Cole book but cry I did!
Definitely a great book. I knocked a point off of being a five star purely because of the first half.

Not martin as usual standard
I love Martina Cole books, but this one isn't the usual standard.
This one just didn't have the usual gripping elements of the book.
It felt as though the parts were explained rather than "dropped" in front of the reader (listener).
It's a shame, I guessed the ending and was waiting for it to happen, but the book seemed uneventful and very very long and this is such a shame.
Maybe it's the way I which the book has been adapted for audible, the narrator as always was good, just something didn't work for me.
I'll of course await Martinas next book, I'm still a loyal fan and hope the next one is back to her old style.

Typical Martina Cole story
Brilliant narration as always (Annie Aldington), You know what you're getting with Martina Cole; all books have a similar theme but enjoyable. Probably not her best book but worth a listen.

I found the first book to be boring and found my mind wandering alot. from the second book to the last 20 minutes was very good and I enjoyed it. The last 20 minutes I found extremely depressing and definitely not bedtime material hence my 3 stars.
