Evolution is about to be kicked in the teeth by some very large feet.
It started with a few missing hikers, a not uncommon occurrence for the remote town of Bonanza Creek. Now it's about to get a lot worse. The legendary creatures known as Sasquatch are emerging from the woods, and they're hell-bent on slaughtering everything in their path. The only ones standing in their way are a group of wayward campers, a few scared survivors, and the crew of a cable TV show.
However, one of them has a secret and it might just be enough to turn the tide. It's tons of muscle and fury versus a whole lot of bullets in a battle to determine once and for all: who is the hunter and who is the hunted.

"Couldn't stand the narrator"
Narrator was so bad I stopped within a chapter or two. Picked up the book in print, and loved it. Not my normal kind of book, but the author is so good I had to give it a shot. Definitely glad I did.
Oh man, the way the author wrote the "Indian dude" had me wondering if his girl left him for a hot looking Indian.LOL I'm sorry but that character seemed like it was written by a jealous white teen boy.LOL 😂
The story was ok. Almost everyone dies, of course they do, nothing new there for this type of story. The author even added a ton of new characters for the sole purpose of being killed. 😬
The beginning was interesting but the further along you get, nothing really jumps out as unique or intriguing. Follows the same formula as most stories in this genre all the way down to the over expletive sexual detail oriented description of hot women body parts 😏
Overall, the story was just mediocre in its entertainment value for me.
The narrator did a good job but I think the story may have been a bit better had his voice reflected the action that was taking place through out the story. But honestly, I'm already looking to see what other books he's narrated. I appreciated his performance, not for all the characters but every diamond has a flaw.
"Cujo on Steroids"
I would definitely recommend this one. Its a classic set up for a nightmare, slasher type story. A group of young adults trekking off into the woods where you would expect them to meet with psychopath in the deep woods...and they do, just not The Crazy you may be expecting.
Danni, She is smart and strong.... making for a pretty good heroine.
His "psycho voice" is really creepy. I loved those parts.
The graphic kills could be intense.
"Love every other book by this author"
But not this one. The story unlike his others has no central focus. If this is a book to expand his universe I wish it was done a bit different but as I have never written a book I don't won't to be overly harsh. It just compared to Mr.Gualtieri other works it lack luster.
"I'll buy ever Gualtieri book that comes out"
I enjoyed the tome of Bill series and this was more, excellent content. Highly entertaining and completely different from his other series, while including a bit of relatable content.
The action. It's packed with action, from start to finish
"Interesting book just not my favorite from author."
I look forward to reading more of this series mostly because I'm a fan of Rick Gualtieri other series Bill the Vampire. This particular book had trouble holding my complete attention. I like a book I can lose myself in. I will continue the series because I know the author has it in him to capture my complete attention and although the book itself wasn't my favorite of his collection it still has value and so I do recommend a listen!
"Not a typical Bigfoot novel"
If you have read any other Gualtieri novels then you are familure with the feet. Now forget everything he has told you before and get back to the idea of them being large animals on the evolutionary scale. Now imagine them pissed and wrecking hell on a remote town. The only ones to protect them are some college frat kids, an Indian and a team of cryptozoologists. Great book if your looking for something not of the normal yarn.
Not sure how to feel about this book. I have read the Time of Bill series and it is great. This one lacks the character development that Bill series has.
"Excellent. Thrills right of the bat!"
Really well done. Fun and wild. I felt tense while listening and thats a good thing.
"Great horror, gory, lots of action."
This is not a funny horror as in his previous books but a true horror about Bigfoot. I did enjoy it though quite a bit. Lots of gore and thrills. I do like how the author seems to have the ability to make the characters come alive.
