Your name, your identity, your past, even the people you love - all forgotten overnight.
And the one person you trust may only be telling you half the story. Welcome to Christine's life.

Such a scary story!
You just have to read this book - it's scary all the way through, but the last few chapters meant I could NOT go to sleep until it reached its (very satisfactory) conclusion. Go on, give it a go!

Long & Drawnout
Very long and drawnout story, with an ending that just leaves you wondering. The story could have been wrapped up alot sooner.
I'm glad I was listening to it and not reading it as I think I would have given up!

Before I Go To Sleep
This is a debut novel , which has used new and unique ideas to present the story. It's so well told and the reader is drawn in as the tension rises, the anxiety rises too.
A different aspect of the genre, so brilliantly executed. If this is a debut novel, do keep writing SJ Watson, please?

Intriguing way of telling a story
I loved this book. The way the story was told reminded me of the film Memento.
The main character wakes up not remembering the last 25 years or so of her life, but discovers that she has written a journal. As she reads it you discover her story together with her, trying to piece together fractured memories and trying to figure out what is true and what isn't and what brought her here.

compelling read
This book had me gripped from the first minute. Very well written and very original concept. Loved the twist at the end. I kept wondering if this is what it must feel like to have Alzheimer's disease - unable to make new memories to store in your short term memory bank - and thought this may prove thought-provoking to those caring for such patients.
