The final thrilling showdown between the Mitchells and the Butlers. This is Kimberley Chambers at her heart-stopping best!
One of them has a gun to his head. Who will pull the trigger?
When king of the underworld Vinny Butler goes into business with respected villain Eddie Mitchell, it's a match made in East End legend. Friends and family are treated like gold, enemies like rats - it's the life.
Then mysterious packages arrive, dead creatures and threats. Someone is out for revenge. Who the enemy is, nobody knows; anyone could be taking a pop. The gypsies who cursed Eddie, ghosts from Vinny's past, enemies needing revenge. Even their own flesh and blood? There are some people you should never cross, some who can't forgive or forget.
Who is the backstabber?

Praise for Kimberley Chambers:
"This beautifully crafted, sharp, well-paced novel will keep you hooked until the very end. An outstanding tale of betrayal, violence and love. Buy it. Read it. You'll love it. I did." (Amanda Prowse)
"Easily as good as Martina Cole." (News of the World)
"[A] fast-paced tale with gritty authenticity." (The Guardian)

one of the best
queenie such a lovely charater
Annie Aldington is one of the best narrators she drags you right into everything she reads
when vinnie went to get his son for the murder of his daughter
brilliant book read by a fabulous narrator
The conclusion to the Butler, Mitchell and Ohara saga, with a twist and turn in every chapter.
It's not just the way this is written but the way it's told by Annie, who brings all the characters to life.
Wow what a story! After reading the complete saga of the Mitchells and the Butlers, it was only right that the end of the story should involve both families. Kimberley Chambers tied the stories together really well, some shocks but it ended the only way it could. I felt like I was reunited with people I'd got to know and it's a shame the story has ended.
Well done to Annie Aldington, fab narration. Love the way she got all the voices and the expression in her voice was fantastic.
My only disappointment is that the saga is over. This final book of the series is well written. It had my attention from the first to last chapter. The story lines build from the first chapter and keeps your interest till the very end. I won't write details about story because I would run out of characters, so much happens. Not sure what I will read next to follow that! Can't wait for the next Kimberley Chambers novel. Annie Aldington, as the narrator, is once again superb.
Queenie Butler has to be my favourite character! I would love to go shopping with Queenie and Joyce!
But I am still undecided am I in Team Butler or Team Mitchell? If you are a fan of Kimberley Chambers you have to read this. Even if you haven't listened any of the other Butler/Mitchell books it doesn't matter this is still a great listen.
All the characters are intertwined nicely and the storyline keeps you guessing until the end with an excellent twist.
Fabulous - will definitely listen to again.
I am never disappointed by Kimberley Chambers, I love her books and the narration was excellent as usual, Can't wait for the next one.
