Excellent read
This was the first Harry Bosch novel I read/heard and found the writing style, pace and length of story entirely to my taste.
The reading by Burt Reynolds is particularly good and for me set 'the voice' for the future.
The plot is excellent and totally believable although with the story of the LA riots fading its significance is somewhat dated. Nontheless it stands on its own as a very good detective story and since reading this I have gone on to acquire all the other HB novels either in print or on audio.

book 6 not quite so good
I am hooked on this series this one had a new narrator which was a surprise but you get used to it. Did not like background music at certain points. Story was a bit slower to grab your attention however excellent ending. Now onto book 7

Great
Another great book by Michael Conneley. However, although it was a treat listening to Burt Reynolds, the audio was difficult to hear at times as the volume of the voice varied so much and wasn’t always clear.

Great Story.
Really enjoyed the story, the development of Bosch as a broken but genuinely good character continues. shame that the study was sometimes difficult to hear.

hard to hear
sound quality poor...I love Burt but I struggled to hear him through most of the book. why is harry bosch book 6 not on audible.uk but is on audible.com ????

Another Classic Connelly
Love Connelly and Love his character Bosch. I always envision Connelly as Bosch the character too. Good plot, great characters and the unmistakable Connelly twist.

Change of narrator a serious issue…. Strong story line still enjoying the story but…
So unhappy with the new narrator…you have to concentrate to hear all words some words trial off before he’s finished saying them. I feel for this chap he sounds like there is a respiratory issue..thankfully it’s a shorter book….I would actually abandon this series if he had continued which is a shame as I throughly enjoying the series…
