Summary

Agatha Raisin's ex-husband James has become engaged to a beautiful young woman, and Agatha has been kindly invited to the wedding. This is a difficult pill to swallow, so to take her mind off it, Agatha begins a flirtation with Sylvan, a Frenchman she met at James's engagement party. She also decides to holiday in Istanbul, where unfortunately, she bumps into James and his fiancée, not once but twice - convincing him she is stalking them. So when the bride is murdered on her wedding day, naturally Agatha is Suspect Number One....

Another super listen

This particular book answered several questions. I had missed it out and various key elements were contained within!

The character of Agatha does make me laugh.

"Do you speak French?"

"No. But I can point in English."

Penelope Keith is as fabulous as ever.

Great Agatha

Always enjoy an Agatha Raisin book. Like the lightheartedness of the plot, so easy to follow when wanting to listen to a story whilst busy doing something else.
I enjoy the down to earth language. Long May it continue.

Light, distracting and amusing

Madly irritating, fun and human.
This clever middle age detective kicks butt every time.
The books are light and funny.
Distracting and no nonsense fun.

Brilliant

For me, this book is one of the best in the series. Agatha is her usual grumpy, but at the bottom, a very kind human being. The plot is good, with an unexpected ending. Very relaxing, the narrator is fantastic.
