Summary

A gripping psychological thriller from an international best-selling author.

How much can your life change in just 34 days?

Anna and Ray have been married for 35 years. They are parents and grandparents and appear to be a normal couple. But behind closed doors, something isn't right.

On the day of their wedding anniversary, Anna makes a decision that changes everything and throws her family into turmoil. Anna will discover that she is not the only one who has suffered, and by leaving Ray she sparks a series of events so awful that it might just end in murder....

34 Days is a stunning psychological thriller from the best-selling author of Beautiful and Angel. It will appeal greatly to fans of Kathryn Croft, Rachel Abbott, BA Paris, and Louise Jensen.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST READ

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely! It's a fantastic book

What did you like best about this story?

Can't say without spoiling the story

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Too hard to choose

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I sobbed like a baby!

Any additional comments?

Have you ever thought about necessary murder?  You know, the type of murder that HAS to happen, not just for fun or because you are a sociopath but because someone just needs to die? No? Me neither until I read 34 Days!
When Anna leaves her abusive marriage little does she know the effect that decision will have on her whole family. Of course she knew there would be upset from her children, although they are all grown up now, she still tries to protect them from the truth behind her decision.
She needn't have bothered, they all knew the truth about their father and, in actual fact, were pleased for her!
Then events take a murky turn and Anna is forced to choose a path of deceit and a tangled web of lies.
What an absolutely stunning book!
Anita's writing is brilliant, from the first page to the last, this story will have you completely hooked. It's such a cliché but it really is a gripping, twisted tale that will leave you guessing about the outcome till the VERY LAST page!
I loved all the characters (apart from the baddy, but I'm not telling you who that is!), I totally fell in love with Anna, what a woman to survive at the hands of her abusive husband and come out the other side with such dignity.
This book has everything, love, family matters, laughter and tears (yes I sobbed like a baby last night!) it really is wonderful and an absolute MUST READ!!!!
I listened to the audio version and it is really well read by the narrator, she talks a little fast but once you get used to that it really works.

Bad Editing and Poor Narration.

Great story, but the book was completely ruined by the shoddy editing and flat narration. All breaths and natural pauses removed, so all words run into one long string of difficult to understand phrases. Many mistakes and pick ups left in. I had to slow the speed down considerably in order to have a chance of understanding it. Such a shame. Love Anita Waller, but the production values were terrible. Sorry, but it really spoilt it for me.

Dreadful narrator and awful editing

I hate to say it but this book has been a total waste of an edit. The narrator was amateurish to say the least. Which made the story unacceptable to listen to. I gave up after ten minutes.

Very Interesting

I thought this was a very interesting and unusual story and Ms Waller executes it very well. There are plenty of twists and turns, and slowly but surely the full horror of the situation is revealed. Well written with carefully created characters, this is an author who I look forward to reading more.

Good Story

The narrator spoilt the audio book completely narrating at a spped of lighting, the story would have been good otherwise

Recording very poor

Very poor editing, no natural pauses, giving it a manic feel. Some sentences repeated twice. However, the storyline is good but stuck to the written version.

A fantastic story, diabolical narration.

A fantastic story, which was totally ruined because of the many continuity errors in the narration. From the beginning right through to the end this audioboook was peppered with sentences and phrases repeated, sentences running into the next one without a break, unexpected pauses, etc etc.
Doesn’t audible employ proof listeners?

Story Ok Performance disappointing

I enjoyed the start of this book and initially thought the title would be significant. However this did not prove to be the case with the reference to the title getting lost somewhere mid book.I was disappointed in the 2 main characters too they were both very vanilla with little insight into either.
The narration was not good either. Many lines were repeated. The narrator seemed to read from one paragraph to the next without taking a breath or changing pace.
Having said all that I did listen to the end because I wanted to know what happened.
