The complete second series of the BBC Radio 4 sitcom about an alien invasion of a small village, starring Hattie Morahan and Charles Edwards with Peter Davison and Jan Francis. When the small Buckinghamshire village of Cresdon Green is invaded by an alien race called the Geonin, the local residents come up against Uljabaan, the smooth-talking leader of the aliens.

Loved both series, however it was a shame that Julian Rhind-Tutt did not get to play Field Commander Uljabaan in the second. He played the role perfectly.
How is this little BBC gem not a huge global mega-hit? It's just superb. For a little-known series of half-hour episodes, it really punches above its weight. Well written, well acted, and very, very funny. The characters are likeable, and the world they inhabit is engaging.
More of this, please, BBC.
Definitely better than the first series, nicely observed spin on village life, and worth it for the pub quiz episode alone.
The first series was funny and charming. Sadly, the jokes are rather tired in the second one. Julian Rhind-Tutt's absence is felt.
It has been the funniest story I have come across. The characters very believable. Would recommend especially if feeling down
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this on Radio 4, and now I've downloaded it I listen to it again and again. I'm the same with Season 1, but for me the stoned alien plants and Lucy's songs make Season 2 even funnier. Hilarious, warm and clever - love it!
Up in the top 10
All of it! I couldn't stop laughing
Too many to choose from
No. It's just hilarious from beginning to end
I thoroughly recommend this!
A sleepy English village is cut off from the wirld by invading aliens. A standard 1950s premise. But the Allen warlord has problems with budgets, dim underlings and his ex girlfriend. Th
Love it. Great performance by all Cast Members. Love the book. The first book and second book were great.
Oh my gosh, so funny! Glad I stumbled across this series. It's worth a listen! Or more!
Great writing again but some of the story lines weren't as entertaining as Series 1. Julian Rhind Tutt is missed as the Field Commander. But an enjoyable series in its own right!
"Great sci-if, comedy romp!"
Just as funny as the first series and I hope they make more. Sadly, Charles Edwards voices Field Commander Uljabaan in this series, rather than Julian Rhind-Tutt. Edwards is good, but his inflections lack the gleeful mischief of Rhind-Tutt's delivery. Still the rest of the cast is brilliant and the writing sparkles.
