    "Average content, poor sound quality"

I'll never tire of listening to these 3 talking drivel, but this one is a long way from their best and doesn't come anywhere near the heights of, say, "..guide to Philosophy". Fans of the old XFM shows will get very strong feelings of deja vu at various points - ironic that the "guide to the future" is so routed in reuse of material from the past.

The sound quality brings to mind a radio vibe too. Medium wave AM radio that is. Awful! Come on Audible, this sort of quality was unacceptable a decade ago and it's about time releases were at least 320Kbps, if not lossless.

"More good laughs from Ricky, Steve and Karl"
Where does The Ricky Gervais Guide to...THE FUTURE rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Tied with the other "Guide to.." books, very slightly behind the original podcast series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Karl is an amazing person, every so often something he says will almost sound profound and philosophical, until he tries to explain his point of course

Have you listened to any of Ricky Gervais, Steve Merchant & Karl Pilkington’s other performances? How does this one compare?

This would be one of the better Guide To books, but none of these can compare to the value of the first three series of the Ricky Gervais Show, also available on audible. Get those first, and if after those and the extra couple of series you still want more, go for the guides.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, this isn't a massively long book, but it would be very easy to drop in and out or play this in the background while doing something else, and have a good laugh now and again. Being able to do this is a good selling point for me.

"Knowledge has never been so amusing!"

As with all the episodes from this series, the discussion is well structured, but broken up with hilarious inputs from Karl. Ricky's and Steve's reaction to them are hilarious and there laughter is infectious. It had me and my partner wriggling with laughter all the way home. Brilliant! I would recommend these for car journeys and commuting.
