The Bonneville Hotel is the best-kept secret in Mayfair: its art deco suites and glittering ballrooms a former home-away-from-home for royalty and movie stars alike. Recent years haven't been kind, but thanks to events manager Rosie, the Bonneville is reclaiming some of its old cachet as a chic retro-glam wedding venue.
While Rosie's weddings are the ultimate in romance, Rosie herself isn't; she's focused on the details, not the dramas. But when the hotel owner appoints his eccentric son Joe to the Bonneville staff, Rosie finds herself up against an unprecedented challenge: a rival whose predilection for the unconventional could derail not only Rosie's own career, but the most elaborate, high-profile wedding the Bonneville has ever seen.

High - Really enjoyable and a feel good book for rainy days
Vintage Girl is another book from the same author, with some great descriptive passages and again makes you smile in all the right places
This was enjoyable
Rosie's realisation in the ballroom after the New Year's Eve party - quite magical
A really nice feel-good book that is ideal for a time when you need a lift.
I have read Mills & Boon since I was 18 and now in My 50s I'm breaching out with the help of Audible. Audio books are a blessing I'm blind
if you're looking for a fun romance then look no further. Catch Hester's other books.
Netherlands, classic literature, contemporary romance, knitting
No, it's doesn't stand out among other chick lit.
Of course it ends like it did
It was a good fit with the story.
No and I don't think it was meant to.
It's a good book for an evening at home on the couch.
The narrator was really excellent at engaging listener, and the reading was fluid. Her emphasis made the story come alive!
This is the kind of book that really puts a smile on your face. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it. The characters were so alive and the story, although somewhat predictable, it was massively fun!
The story, the description of the Hotel and the events.
Joe, because he felt funny and down to earth.
The female/male voices. Most of the times the dialogs with the two main characters were a bit confusing.
This book isn't meant to move, it serves to relax.
I truly enjoy some light reading and if you like a good feel good book, go for it.
As I have only listened to this book I cannot say. Audio books let me absorb books I wouldn't get round to reading.
The gentle rhythm of the words made listening a form of relaxation. Yes the book was exciting and dramatic in places but it didn't jar or fling things at you for effect.
Clear, crisp, lovely tone. perfect for this book.
"entertaining but for the end"
Enjoyable romantic novel, the author delivers what is expected of this genre. However, I had some troubles with the end: Even though you know what’s going to happen, the story comes to such an abrupt end that I initially thought my iPod skipped a chapter!
Narration is OK.
