Meet Miranda. She is a cheerful and happy-go-lucky single girl who just happens to be a dominatrix with a dungeon in her flat where she services clients with flogging, extreme correction and (if she's lucky) gets the occasional slave to pay her for the honour of doing her vacuuming.
When she's not delivering 30 lashes to the sensitive parts of religious zealots or doing step-aerobics in stilettos on the buttocks of retired army officers she is just trying to get on with the neighbours and make her flatmate, Dan, realise that in spite of what he may think of her and job she could just be the girl of his dreams (and not just his nightmares).
This a refreshingly funny and joyfully rude sitcom that proudly celebrates sex, non-conformity and doing the wrong thing.

There's writing about something and there is living it. Miranda is gloriously truthful and has the experience to back up all of the funny scenes in this sitcom. It adds an extra dimension to every aspect of the story.
The first pull back and reveal was cleverly done. It sets the tone of a sitcom which is intelligent, dirty (in the best way possible) and most importantly - funny.
The first meeting between dominatrix and dominee! Lots of hilarious specificity and chunky, detailed writing.
It's just solidly funny all the way through - I hope if it is commissioned for more episodes there will be more exploration of the obvious depth in this subject.
Keep up the good work!
Of the five pilots, Slaving Away is the one with the greatest potential for creating an on-going series. Full of laugh out loud moments and a cast of interesting and engaging characters that you really do want to find out more about. Just be careful if you are upset by strong sexual content.
I listen to audio books, and occasionally write the odd review. I don't eat babies or like Marmite.
I think I am going to have to listen to this one again, given the (far from) rave reviews it has received as potentially being the best of the bunch...
It has some moments, and with editorial polish I suppose it could make it, but it's certainly not 4Xtra quality so far.
I have to say, if this is the best Comedy that Audible could summon up then I probably won't be coming back for "home-grown content"...
It was the best sitcom on Audible i've heard so far
Great cast, great production qualities. Overall very good to listen to and very clear.
Too many to choose from. It was just consistently well-written and acted.
Saw her do stand-up last Edinburgh; She's a great writer.
10 Years a Slave.
Not sure really - I might give it another go as it was certainly the best by far of a really unfunny bunch of pilots.
It's certainly different and fresh to have an adult audio comedy. The premise is original and it raised a smile.
I didn't feel Miranda Kane was the right voice for the main role here. I realise she wrote it but I found myself imagining other, more convincing actresses in the role.
"Swing and a Miss"
This was only slightly humorous, and just not very well delivered. Others may find this to be something they enjoy, but for me, the visualizations described made me go "Ew!" instead of laughing. Sorry, but that's not what I was looking for.
Excellent narration and story. I was laughing nearly the entire time. Miranda Kane is a talented story teller and voice actor. Definitely recommend!
Not really. It was rather boring despite the the content.
It wasn't funny. There was potential, but it only reached mildly amusing.
"Not my cuppa tea"
I didn't even finish it. I don't care for that kind of thing.

Better than the other three that I listened to but not great. Maybe the last one will be good.
