Summary

Nominated for the Audiobook Download of the Year, 2008.

When Lister got drunk, he really got drunk!

After celebrating his birthday with a Monopoly-board pub crawl around London, he came to in a burger bar on one of Saturns moons, wearing a lady's pink crimplene hat and a pair of yellow fishing waders, with no money and a passport in the name of "Emily Berkenstein".

Joining the Space Corps seemed a good idea. Red Dwarf, a clapped out spaceship, was bound for Earth. It never made it, leaving Lister as the last remaining member of the human race, three million light years from Earth, with only a dead man, a senile computer, and a highly evolved cat for company.

They begin their journey home. On the way, they'll break the light barrier. They'll meet Einstein, Archimedes, God, and Norman Wisdom...and discover an alternative plane of reality.

Amazing performance - such great impressions!

The voices sounded just like the actors from the TV show. Very well performed, great story. Loved it.

Fantastic!

Superb narration. Hilarious throughout. I liked the TV series, but it pales in comparison. My only complaint is that there's only 2 RD audiobooks.

Brilliant!

This was amazing - I would highly recommend it to any Red Dwarf fan. There are familiar story lines, but it goes so much deeper than the show. Really funny and very well presented - Chris does an amazing job of voicing all the characters!

Incredible performance from Chris Barrie

Fantastic. The story is funny and entertaining but the real star is the narrator. I genuinely forgot it was just one narrator at times - it just feels like the full original cast. Some of the plotlines are straight from the show but it adds so much more in terms of background and depth.

Must listen for fans of the Dwarf crew!

I'm not sure which came first the show or the books but these books contain the episodes from the show but link them together into one long story, which flows really well while also adding in extra bits.
Though the theme tune playing at the end of chapters is abit annoying after awhile, makes it seem like an episode ending but because it's one long story, doesn't always fit well.
Also brilliantly narrated by Chris Barrie, actually sounds like the full cast at times.
