David sedaris

From the time I first heard David Sedaris, I couldn't wait until his next tale, of family, friends and his life..from the laugh out loud to the touching moments, thoroughly enjoy every moment, won't stop until I have his whole collection, wonderfully written and wonderfully read.

Love this man!

I love listening to this guy! I discovered him by accident on Radio 4 and now have all four recordings. he's very funny, tongue in cheek, dry sense of humor and I'm lucky enough to be going to see - hear him read live in June!

Boring

Monotonous rendition of mediocre materials. Surprised by others’ glorious reviews. Perhaps you m just not getting the jokes.

So funny!

Exceptionally funny, wry and brilliantly observant, David Sedaris and his great family make for wonderful listening.

Funny and engaging

Although you can buy recordings of David Sedaris reading his books in their entirety I am not sure if I do not enjoy these readings in front of an audience even more. You can hear the nervousness of the laughter when Sedaris moves towards "third rail" territory and then the great release that comes when you get the conclusion that shows his heart has been in the right place all along. Rolls Royce BBC production values, as you would expect, and each programme just the right length to listen to with full attention when you are in the mood. I have listened to these over and over again.
