Summary

You’ll already know Greg Davies as Mr Gilbert, the psychotic Head of Sixth Form in 'The In-betweeners' (Channel 4) and 'The In-betweeners Movie', and as the most out-of-shape member of 'We Are Klang' (BBC Three).‘Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog’ is Greg’s hotly anticipated debut stand-up show. A critically lauded sell-out smash hit at the Edinburgh festival where it picked up a prestigious nomination for the Foster’s Comedy Award (formerly the Perrier) followed by a 100+ date, twice extended national tour. By spending months packing this show with hilarious content whilst simultaneously paying no attention to his diet or fitness levels Greg has ensured you're about to buy a show that is funny for the right and wrong reasons. Greg Davies has also appeared on 'Live at The Apollo', 'Have I Got News for You', and 'Ask Rhod Gilbert' (BBC One), 'Mock The Week', 'Never Mind the Buzzcocks' and Frank Skinner’s 'Opinionated' (BBC Two), and '8 Out of 10 Cats' (Channel 4).

So funny I nearly crashed my car....

If you could sum up Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog in three words, what would they be?

Absolutely Fudging Hillarious

What about Greg Davies’s performance did you like?

The man is the personification of funny

Any additional comments?

Hillarious! The only Audible item that I've bought and listened to repeatedly. I first listened to it whilst in my car commuting. I cannot do this anymore as I laugh so much I lose control of my limbs! This mans hilarity knows no bounds.

A very funny guy

I like Greg Davis. He is a very good comedian. If you have seen some of his material before then you know what to expect. As with most staged comedies with some of the gags you need a little imagination, but besides from that this audio book is good.

Laugh out loud funny!!

This is hilarious! Greg Davies is an excellent story teller and one of the funniest people around!! I have experienced a lot of strange looks for my laughter! Also still funny the 18th time round!!!

Told off for listening at work because I was laughing to loud!!!

Great comic content!!! I listened on my lunch break and laughed so much I was told to leave my office!!! The only slight downside is that some of the jokes are visual at the start.

Something missing

Doesn't work entirely as an audio book, because there are visual aids used on stage

Good relational standup

Good and slightly different standup using many funny real world experiences from his family interactions and time as a teacher. Gregg Davis is well worth a listen.

funny, but misses the visual gags

I laughed out loud, but naturally it lacks something when the joke relies on a facial expression or prop.

Continuous hilarity !!!!!

Never have I been so amused by anyone in my life. Greg reminiscing of his school days so matched the experiences of most pupils living through the 70/80s....the nick name section ....flippin excellent and bang on....he dragged up memories that I truely thought I'd forgotten....oh yes even in Norfolk schools a similar phrase of Chinny Reckon!!! did the rounds for many a term. Pure brilliance from start to finish. ....the cheeseballs situation. ..genius. would travel and travel to be entertained in this fashion and wish I'd seen the live show.
