In this seventh series, we join Clare in her continued struggle to control both her professional and private life. These six episodes see Clare struggling to come to terms with Brian's infidelity. She ends their relationship and is surprised by her colleagues' reaction to the news. Brian tries to win her back with romantic gestures and even proposes marriage - can he change her mind? In addition, Clare is concerned she may be linguistically out of touch with today's youth; her driving lessons lead to an unexpected encounter; she meets Bradley Bigg, whose pop music influenced and shaped her as a teenager; and she prepares for a very special occasion....
Starring Sally Phillips as Clare, Alex Lowe as Brian, Nina Conti as Megan/Nali, Richard Lumsden as Ray, Liza Tarbuck as Helen, Andrew Wincott as Simon, and Sarah Kendall as Libby. Written by Harry Venning and David Ramsden. Producer Katie Tyrrell.

History lover, Amateur dramatic and tea drinker.
It's consistently funny and good natured, never resorts to malice to prompt laughs.
Dara O'Briain is comparable in laugh per minute ratios.
It was a faultless performance from Sally Phillips whose light touch was just right for the character.
Brian's attempts to teach Claire to drive and Nali's epic poem on procrastination are superb.
The most uplifting audible, typical English humour, subtle and memorable. Listened in Hospital, at death's door and still chuckled.
I've had every audiobook in the series and have laughed until I've cried. The books are clever witty and ever single series has been excellent. I just hope that they bring out series 8. I highly recomend these audiobooks.
"A world to return to..."
Again and again I find this show very sweet and funny- the story develops as do the characters, no one joke show here
