Of its time - not this time

Guessing this was good in its day and in America. Time hasn’t done it any favours and the 40s/50s American humour really doesn’t translate well today. As for the adverts.... toe cringingly bad. Sorry, but I wasted my money on this one.

    Abysmal

I had to abandon this part way through Duffy’s Tavern because it became so raucous it began to hurt my ears. It wasn’t remotely funny, either. I’ve never heard of this particular show, which is not surprising. Did even the original (American?) audience find it amusing?

    Nostalgic American radio show

I enjoyed the nostalgic view of Christmas. The comedy was of course a little dated but still made me smile.
