At 20 years of age, Georgiana Darcy embarks on her third season in London hoping to find true love. Things go terribly wrong when she is implicated in a scandalous affair with the Duke of Rothford and, though she is innocent of wrongdoing, London society shuns her and her reputation is in tatters.
For months the Duke has had troubles of his own; the last thing he needs is to be caught up in London's latest scandal with a perfect stranger. The Duke is an honourable man, however, and does his best to clear their names and restore Georgiana's reputation.
The Duke's kindness and attentiveness ignite the kind of love in Georgiana she's always dreamed of. She knows a peer of the realm could never marry a mere gentleman's daughter, so she contents herself with simply being near him. But when a new scandal arises, she must leave London and the Duke or risk losing her reputation forever.

The story as a whole AND the narration of Stevie Zimmerman. A good story can be ruined by a bad narrator.
Any of Ayr Bray's other books, plus those of P.O. Dixon, Abigail Reynolds, Maria Grace and Regina Jeffers. They're some of my favourite writers in this genre and Ayr Bray has now joined them.
I can't really single just one character out. I hadn't heard Stevie Zimmerman narrate until I listened to Ayr Bray's books but she has a very good style, perfect for this type of book.
Mr. Darcy's sister is in trouble!
I thought it was a nice touch to give a warning about it's content before the final chapter. The rest of the book could be listened to by any audience but the epilogue is only for those who don't object to scenes of a sexual nature. Personally, it doesn't bother me but anyone who wants to listen to this book can easily miss the final chapter without missing anything vital to the story as a whole.
"Impressive and entertaining!"
I have already recommended this to a friend. The performance was fantastic and the story believable and I got swept up in the story line that I had to do a priorities check and make dinner for my family
I have admit I enjoyed the presentation of Georgiana because her voice was soft annd breathy and shy just like I think of that character. Her male character voices were believable and I forgot that it was one narrator doing it since it felt like 6!
The story line was fantastic and very impressive. I have to say that I enjoyed how clean it was and was grateful when the last chapter warned the reader that it was for mature readers. I will be honest and tell you I did not listen to the last chapter because of this warning but I have no doubt that the book ended to my satisfaction even without the last chapter. I thought the performance was impressive and she had a soothing voice that drew the listener in. This will definitely be something I listen to over and over again. Ms. Bray spun a tale that touched my heart and made me fall in love with the duke from nearly the very first time I was introduced.
Loved it but didn't listen to the last chapter as I don't like scenes of that nature when it comes to P&P sequels or variations. They are just unnecessary. The rest of the book was delightful.
This story focuses on Georgiana a few years after the marriage of Darcy and Elizabeth. A rumor is flying through the ton about Georgiana and the Duke of Rothford. As one rumor is squashed another, more vicious rumor is passed around. Who is behind the rumors? What will happen to Georgiana's reputation? A very enjoyable story that s hard to put down. One element of the book I very much appreciated is that the author, at the end of the book, let you know there would be sexual content. There was ample warning and you could make the choice to read the epilogue or not. This made it a book I could readily share with my teenage nieces or mom,
"Loved this story and narration."
About the same. I loved the ebook and now I loved the audio book.
I adore the Duke of Rothford. He has depth and is a true romantic.
I have not heard other narrations by the narrator, but I will go find some because I really liked her voice. It was smooth and a great accent.
Yes, and I did.
