I am a poetic writer who loves the way words paint a picture. I love the spoke word. My dream is to write, speak, and inspire others now.
This is my first foray into Khalil Gibran's work and l must admit that l am mersmerised and drawn in equal measure. This book and the narration is beautiful. I have listened to it twice already. Too many quotes and images for me to consider.
The Prophet is Gibran???s masterpiece, a wonderful blending of timeless wisdom with beautiful poetry. I???ve read the book and have heard other audio versions, but this recording by the late Paul Sparer is without equal.
This needs to be listened to many times as you will hear something new with every listen. Almost allows you to step out of life and be an observer. Very powerful, very thought provoking, very beautiful.
I had a copy of this on cassete tape, loved to listen to it then and even more now, Ipod makes it so much easier to enjoy.. Inspiring to listen to in this format, as in its prior overly listened cassete format.. Enjoyed listening to it this morning at work before the day began.. Narrator, pleasant to hear,, and as always Khail Gibran a pleasure to visit again and again....
"narrator is overly dramatic. great book."
silly dramatic narrator . beautiful story. would recommend but with different narrator. listen first. thanks
always love hearing this poem. very hopeful and uplifting. i especially love the parts about love.
Really loved the wisdom here - although I truly understood about 10% of it on my first listen. I plan to listen to it many more times.
The narrator is good - his voice reminds me of the narrator at the haunted house at Disneyland.
This story weaves into my soul and the words linger in my head even long after I listen to them.I love the sound of the flute as well and the voice of the narrator Paul sparer is kind and reassuring and very appropriate to the main character and storyline
More beautiful and powerful than I could have imagined! I'm going to listen to this many, many times.
"Explore the journey, immersion to deeper self!"
Loved the visual styling of author, even 100+ years later guys words still stir the imagination taking the reader on a worth while exploration of self!
Depths of my ocean unfathomable as myself God and man finally looked at the illusion for what it is. Unspeakable words dance within and mirrors without knowing that it is all me. Awaken!! All.. Awaken!!!
