    "Good adaptation"

This adaptation is very good and gives plenty of roundness to the character of Dantes (who can seem a little tow dimensional in some versions). The narrator is excellent.

    "Entertaining performance"
Would you consider the audio edition of The Count of Monte Cristo to be better than the print version?

Nice synopsis of a very, very long book. Great narration and characterization. It really held my interest. I listened to it in a single sitting.

What did you like best about this story?

    Entertaining and fast moving.

Have you listened to any of Tim Pigott-Smith’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I would like to listen to some of Tim Pigott-Smith’s other performances.

    "Classic?"

I know this book is supposed to be a classic, but having read it for the first time I dont understand why. Maybe in its time it brought something new to the art of storytelling, I just dont know, but it seemed like a really bad soap opera.
