Summary

A bold-spirited dog named Buck is stripped from his comfortable life on a California estate and thrust into the rugged terrain of the Klondike. There he is made a sled dog and battles to become his team's leader and the devoted servant of John Thornton, a man who shows him kindness amid the savage lawlessness of man and beast.

Wonderful...!

Beautifully written, the style of writing is old-fashioned but flows so well in what is a short but very memorable book.
Nicely performed by the narrator too.

Gritty

Brilliantly written, with an understanding of the wild world and its unwritten rules that captures the imagination like I'm there living the dream that is the wild.
