Summary

Shipwrecked on an unknown island, Quinbus Fiestrin awakens to find himself tied to the ground by the natives of Lilliput--tiny people small enough to fit in his pocket and play hide and seek in his hair! Fiestrin finds himself not only a very big fish in a small pond but also a fish out of water.

"Part One: A Voyage to Lilliput" is the most famous segment of the novel, where the at-first suspicious Gulliver soon earns the trust of the Lilliputian people, who enlist their newfound giant in defending them from their enemies on the bordering island of Blefufeu--who likewise are desperate to use the giant in their war against Lilliput. Stevenson, it would seem, had a sense of the future, as this is truly a tale of the fight over a weapon of mass destruction.

American actor, singer, and dancer Joel Grey is best known for portraying the master of ceremonies in both the stage and film versions of the musical Cabaret. He has won the Academy Award, Tony Award, and Golden Globe Award.
