Tief zerrissen zwischen den Erwartungen, die ein Aufwachsen im großbürgerlichen Millieu Wiens in ihr erzeugt hat und der bitter-profanen Realität, die ihr Mündelgelder veruntreuender Vater ihr beschert, weiß Else zuletzt keinen Ausweg.
