"Revolting against tradition and authority, with a daring which we can hardly fathom today;...[Kate Chopin] undertook to give the unsparing truth about woman's submerged life." (Per Seyersted, biographer of Kate Chopin)
I think I will have to find this story on kindle, or a secondhand book shop. I think this recording must be so old it is recorded on a wax cylinder. I can't honestly rate the story, as I can't hear it. I was interested in it because there was a reference to it another book I listened to recently.
"The recording is horrible!"
You can hardly hear it!!! Muffled and bad quality sound. I don't recommend this audio-book!!!
The story was very hard to understand! The performance was terrible and I could not comprehend what she was saying.
I will have to buy another version of the book to determine if I will.
Yes, I like the author.
Don't know - I couldn't hear the story!
Audible should filter out books with audio that cannot be heard.
