Annette knows she can never forgive Lucien for what he did to Dani, and she is going to make sure that no one else does either. She is so filled with rage that she sets out to alienate and humiliate Lucien at every turn. But then some surprising things begin to happen to both of them.
Patricia St.John's stories are classics of their time and have been enjoyed by generations of children. This edition of Treasures of the Snow combines her superb skill as a storyteller with language sensitively adapted to a new generation of children.

I read this book when I was a child and it made a big impression on me, so it was fascinating to be re-united with the story and good to be reminded of the spiritual truths it highlights.
I have very fond memories of this heart-warming story. It was read to me by my mother as a child, as it was also read to her class in junior school, a little each day.
I was delighted to find it available on Audible.
My only criticism is that I felt it most unnecessary to very slightly modify the original text; for me this only detracted from the original book.
Nevertheless, it remains a much loved audiobook.
I am periodically on the lookout for an audiobook that can be enjoyed by the whole family and is appropriate for the whole family. My two daughters and I listened to this book while on a road trip and we all enjoyed it very much. It was interesting to hear about life in Switzerland in the 1930s. The characters were interesting and the book imparted good values.
This book is an amazing book. It is an uplifting story of hope, love, and forgiveness; A blessing for anyone to read.
"Our #1 favorite Christian children's novel"
I wish this version were the original unabridged novel (Mary Mills has recently condensed most of Patricia St. John's books), but it's still so very good, and the story is beautiful and powerful. I've read it out loud to my children twice, and am thrilled that we now have this as a permanent audiobook and can listen at will. The reader has a lovely British accent that just seems right. Please don't miss this one! If you haven't seen the movie, look that up as well.
This is a beautifully-written and narrated story of forgiveness, redemption and love. It took over 30 minutes for my 8 year old boy to be drawn in (although my 6 year old girl was drawn in instantly); however, after that point, we were all riveted, inspired and eager to listen to the story each step of the way.
"A treasure from my childhood"
I remember reading this book as a child and I can't believe I was able to find it - and so beautifully read too!
"Loved every bit of it"
A must read for children. Such a beautiful story of mistakes and forgiveness and love.
Great story, great reader.
"A christian propaganda piece"
In this story several children develop problems. They are all solved as a result of each child accepting Jesus. I do give the writer credit for using SOME plot items from their own personal life to fill out the story. In large part its a piece promoting the christian message that Jesus solves all problems. I wish I KNEW what this was before I purchased the book. IF I did I would NEVER have purchased this work. As it stands I am stuck having to talk to amazon customer support and ask THEM to remove this from my library.
IF prayer would heal the sick than I strongly suggest that christians get together and pray so that childrens hospitals do NOT have to remain open. If it doesnt work, then I strongly suggest that christians stop telling the public that it does...directly OR as part of story plots.
Disclaimer: IM a doctor. The studies actually indicate that patients that are prayed for have a worse outcome than those that are not. Feel free to look up the facts in the medical journals. If you have an ill loved one and pray but it does not work...dont worry that your faith is not strong enough. Praying for the sick and injured is an unfortunate myth perpetuated by writers such as this.
