Life for Limpy and the rest of his family of cane toads is not particularly easy. There's errant car tires, threatening lawn chairs, and blunt bike pumps. Fortunately, the slightly squashed but valiant toad has heard of a place safe from the danger of humans. Toad Heaven, written and performed with a perfect enthusiasm by the award-winning children's author Morris Gleitzman, is the comical and somewhat-inspiring journey of Limpy and his friends as they navigate the wild world of human roadways and ferocious fire ants in search of a nature preserve for all of the cane toads to live in safely and happily.
