The Time Train To The Blitz.

What a pleasntly entertaining and enchanting story this audible book was to listen to. It catches ones imagination to such an extent. That you almost believe that you're actually watching this story unfold before your eyes. It is so captivatingly simple to follow. The story is set in the present, and revolves around a brother, his sister and a faithful dog and their mysterious rescue mission back in time to 1941. It all starts when they are out playing, that they are captivated with curiosity with a glowing light that catches their attention. This results in a mystery train that semms to float and has no sound other than a whistle. The children and their dog board the train. Where they view a scene on a massive TV screen that means nothing nor any sense to them. Little do they realise that THAT scene they observed IS their mission. Their journey back in time is swift. They ask themselves questions on what's going on. No answers are known. They are confused and puzzled. Once they disembark the train. They eventually piece together the reason behind their journey once they come across a boy named Alfie Suggs.
From that moment on the story falls beautifully into place and all makes sense. This pleasing story can't fail but raise a little smile of pleasure at something so simple yet so captivating. Well worth a listen.
