Mad scientist Godfrey Gunk had a dream - a dream of creating a whole safari park of monsters on an old rubbish dump. It didn't work. Little did Godfrey know that actually after he left the rubbish dump, his dream came true ... Meet the inhabitants of Trashland, a whole world of different types of slimy monsters who all live peacefully together - or at least they used to!

"... saturated with sparkling young boy humour throughout." ( bookzone4boys.com)
Runner and mother of two from Hove, UK. Relies on good audiobooks to stop the kids from fighting in the car. Occasionally buys one for her.
I found this audio book rather crass to be honest - particularly the short story about a laptop covered in (ahem) poo which came to life and controlled an army of evil cyber-poos. It's a KAPOW, KAZAM and WAAAAHHH kind of a book, heavy on the naughty / silly and low on the brain power.
However it's not about me. We were on a 6 hr drive to Cornwall and my two boys (aged 4 and 6) thought it was great. They grinned and chuckled in all the right places. We listened to it all the way through. For several days later they played at being members of the Slime Squad and - now we are back home - the 6 yr old has gleefully taken a Slime Squad (reading) book out of our local library.
So if you don't like bottom humour, don't get this audio book. Go for Astrosaurs; written by the same author and also avaliable on Audible. Astrosaurs has the same ZAP, SHASAM, WOOPEE action levels but less of the slime, grime and frozen rat's droppings.
