Summary

Otto isn't an ordinary penguin: he is the first penguin chick to be born that year, which means that it is his job to look after all the other young penguins. But out in the snow and ice of Antarctica, there is an awful lot to learn, and Otto has to discover for himself how to swim, dive, and catch fish before he can teach anyone else. And how will he do that when all the grown-ups are too busy to help?

A little penguin who wants explore his word

My second audio book that I have finished. This is a cute story made for little kids, and people who want to learn English by listening English stories would like to find THEY CAN UNDERSTAND IT!!!!

I love this story, and it just tells a penguin who just was born from a cold world. He accepted the cold gradually, and loving it! (Quoted from my favorite TV show GET SMART). Penguins Look after Each Other. Eat full, listen to stories, and love keep a little penguin grow up health and warm.

I felt unlucky that I met the cute stories on a grown-up period, but it is never late to start listen as an adult to review the young one, cause the Little Prince still lives in my heart .

Brilliant

My 5 and 6 yr old sons just love all Jill Tomlinsons books, but this one in particular. The story is great, really funny and full of animal facts. Maureen Lipman's reading is just brilliant, how she can keep so many voices straight in her head I just don't know. But it makes the story really easy to follow. Highly recommend.

Such a lovely book, and superbly read.

It's an amusing and endearing story, with some quite emotional moments too. The curiosity of the young penguin protagonist (main character) is fantastic, and the gentle but blunt/matter of fact penguin who adopted and raises him, is probably very relatable for those with children. My child loves this book, and I'm quite happy to re-listen with her regularly too. Jill Tomlinson is a wonderful writer, and Maureen Lipman is a magnificent narrator.
