Summary
When sun flares hit the Earth, intense heat, toxic radiation and flooding followed, wiping out much of the human race. Those who survived live in basic communities in the mountains, hunting for food.
For Mark and his friends, surviving is difficult, and then an enemy arrives, infecting people with a highly contagious virus. Thousands die, and the virus is spreading. Worse, it's mutating, and people are going crazy. It's up to Mark and his friends to find the enemy - and a cure - before the Flare infects them all.

dispensable
It was a waste of time and credit. I regret not having taken the advice of some reviewers on Audible.com: skip it, you'll miss nothing. It brings almost nothing new and it is quite slow.

If you like post apocalyptic adventures.. Get this
This was a great book to listen too on those long journeys back home. It was a really interesting take on how to survive only months after a global devastation. The relationships between the characters were very strong and you instantly felt a rapport with them, while contemplating what you would do in a similar situation.. Asking the big questions. This book was a great addition to the Maze Runner series and should be read/listened to by all.

Now I understand
Would you consider the audio edition of The Kill Order to be better than the print version?
I have never read the print version and I most probably won't because I don't usually read a book after listening to it.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Kill Order?
Finding out how the kill order was issued
What about Mark Deakins’s performance did you like?
He brought the characters to life. After listening to him throughout the Maze Runner series I felt that he had a good grasp of the story line and characters.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes but I couldn't so I listened whenever I could.
Any additional comments?
I listened to this book after listening to the series, I didn't feel that I'd lost anything doing it in this order. Whether you listen to this book before or after the Maze Runner series I strongly recommend that you do listen /read this book.

Only read to finish the series wish I hadn’t bothered.
Hard to follow. Not entirely sure what happened and wish I’d not wasted the credit.
The first 3 although not overly well written had a good story too them. This I found wishy washy.

Good though depressing!
Really well written and excellently read though somehow more depressing than the main trilogy. Still...worth a listen!

great story with a lot of detail, I'm always slightly sad when I finish one of James dashner's books because it means I can't keep reading

Nope not worth it
Loved the Mazerunner series but this adds absolutely nothing to it. Slow, confusing and hops around way too much. Couldn't even finish it returned and I'll not miss it from my library. Good narrator but bad story all round.

Boring!
I have no idea what was happening in the story. It does not follow anything in the series and I wish I didn’t waste my credit on it.
