Tom doesn't know he is a demisprite - the child of a fairy and a human - until he meets his three fairy godmothers. They've been summoned to protect him, but they can't stop bickering and two of them are hardened criminals. Tom must survive their botched magic spells, learn to fly, and enter the dangerous Fairy Realm to save his parents.

"Alan Bennett meets the Brothers Grimm" (Financial Times)
We (a 6 year old girl, an 8 year old boy and their 40 something year old parents!) all really enjoyed this book. It was written in a refreshingly original style and had us all enthralled throughout (even making Dad put down his iPad at story time, a real result!). We will certainly be looking for more books by this author.
Jersey, Channel Islands. Addicted to books. Wilde/Coward especially. Adore comedy, memoirs, biographies, history, witches /wizards & silly.
As an avid fan of all things magical & comedic I adored this book.
Would highly recommend it for all ages, just fantastic and funny.
I'm 44 in case you were wondering..,
