Publisher's Summary

"'Give me Harry Potter,' said Voldemort's voice, 'and none shall be harmed. Give me Harry Potter, and I shall leave the school untouched. Give me Harry Potter, and you will be rewarded.'"

As he climbs into the sidecar of Hagrid's motorbike and takes to the skies, leaving Privet Drive for the last time, Harry Potter knows that Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters are not far behind. The protective charm that has kept Harry safe until now is broken, but he cannot keep hiding. The Dark Lord is breathing fear into everything Harry loves and to stop him Harry will have to find and destroy the remaining Horcruxes. The final battle must begin - Harry must stand and face his enemy....

    Any additional comments?

I've listened to the entire series and this was a great conclusion.
I'd never read the books before, only seen the films.
Apart from the cop-out epilogue, I thought it was great definitely worth a listen.
    Stephen Fry is fantastic.

    "Faultless Narration"
What did you like most about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Book 7?

Stephen Fry's narration is perfect and brings every character to life in his own magical way.

What did you like best about this story?

Being the final book in the series it brings together all the characters and adventures well to a thankful happy conclusion. Whilst this is pure fantasy and imagination the realism of life is apparent in JK's writing as she touches upon sadness in the loss of loved ones.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

I loved the crazy aunt at the wedding, I'm sure most adults listening to the book will relate to it!

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The film is already made - but thank goodness for books and imagination!

    "The final part"

This final episode of the Harry Potter series sees Harry leave school. The story cleverly links through elements of the previous stories. Listening to this audiobook takes hold of your imagination - much better than seeing the films - more detail - greater suspense and more vivid characters. - Great.

Great conclusion to the series wonderfully performed by Stephen Fry. The narration, characterisation and pacing were excellent and really brought the story alive. I've read all seven of the Potter books but this audio version really added something extra - I noticed things I hadn't seen when reading. A definite plus factor in the performance.

    Story
"Hallowed Be Thy Name Harry Potter!"

This book marks the end of a long journey for anyone who has followed Harry, Ron, Hermione and the others through their school years at Hogwarts. During this journey there have been magical moments of high drama, genuine warmth and of course no little humour. As the books have progressed however it’s become more real, more edgy and increasingly tense. The challenge for JK Rowling with the Deathly Hallows was whether she could tie it all up and give this impressive series a satisfying conclusion.

Well, to cut what is a long story short she did just that. For anyone that doesn’t know the stories I’ll include no real spoilers but this is a story of its own with twists, turns and mysteries to be solved. Rowling has Harry and the reader questioning the motives and natures of many of the characters and much is kept hanging until very near the end. Her patience in building the back story over the previous books brings rich rewards in terms of several eyebrow raising moments. Highlights for me include the climactic battle including the way in which it is resolved and blessedly redemption for my favourite character in all of the books. The author spends a long time developing the story and this is a bleaker book than the ones that have gone before but no less satisfying for all that. This is, after all, the wizarding world at war, casualties had to be expected!

Stephen Fry brings it all to our ears with consummate professionalism and genuine empathy meaning that I can happily say goodbye to the Potter stories content that I’ve now completed one of modern literature’s great adventures.

I've read the books in English and I've read some of them in Spanish, I've listened to them on cassette tapes and now, lots of years later I've listened to them all on audible. I enjoyed every minute and found new layers of social comment and human observation when listening to them this time. SUPERB STORIES, SUPERB NARRATOR -download them all now.

Would you listen to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Book 7 again? Why?

The book by itself is wonderful, love the depth of character and the way all that's happened in this series past has been taken into account to finish in this wonderful piece of "children's" literature. Why did you have to change the narrator though. I had harry potter's books from 1 to 6 read by Jim Dale, that means every single one except for this one and now... It just feels like the performance is not as great as the one made by the previous reader.

Recently finished listening to all the Harry Potter audio books and Stephen Fry is the best! He narrates it so well enough you almost forget he's the one telling the story, you get lost in all the voices and accents he puts on! Fantastic to listen to 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    "Love"

I had to comeback to the Harry Potter world. There is so much love in this books. A part of me wanted more books, but it is for the best. The part where Harry had to go to the woods and meet Voldemort, he got to talk to his mom and dad , godfather and Lupine. It was very emotional.. The Harry Potter books is something I think children, teenagers and adults will enjoy. You will reed about friendship, love, family, loss of loved ones, funny characters, strange animals and a world of magic.
