David Walliams wow what a great book well done great narration i like the bit where grandpa trys digging a tunnel through stone and when they find out that the nurses are all men those bits are funny. And when Raj trys selling a toffee rapper to jack. It's just so funny. I would recommend this book to everyone including grandpas! Ha ha ha
My 10 year old son & I listened to this together. It's charming. Very long & a bit slow at times. Worth listening through until the end.

I listened to this audio book with my eight year old son. Such a lovely story and a good way to learn a little about World War Two.
"Wonderful adventure, touching, funny, unafraid."
Must-read. Loved it. Laughed, cried, very satisfied with the ending. A fate better than death.
