"Hullo," I said to myself. "That's not something you see every day. And then something odd happened."

I liked this book, Fortunetly the milk, because it was out of the ordinary and it had quote a few things that at 10 you would find too childish but this book is good for 4+ because it uses easy vocabulary (sometimes) but makeS you think it is hard. Adults can read/listen T O it because it is a fantastically written book. it makes you fee l as though it really is happening to you, Neil Gaiman sets the scene beautifully, he creates the atmosphere well and he also pints a picture in your mind with his well chosen words. This story is a fantasy story with snippets from adventure. Everyone will enjoy Neil Gaimans book, Fortunetlyvthe milk.
A simple yet well-crafted tale of the sort of adventure that a father would make up for his children. Which, of course, is the whole point of this. Short but thoroughly enjoyable, and read by the author himself who reads it as he intends it to sound. I may be a middle-aged chap but I loved it.
