Ivy and Carrie love their new classroom even if the new teacher is a little strange. When Mrs. Huffity asks for volunteers to care for an egg, Ivy doesn't budge. She's had a few scary dreams about that egg and wants nothing to do with it. But when trouble comes, Ivy defends the egg. In her desire to save the baby that hatches, Ivy is tossed into the middle of an adventure. She never imagined one dragon could be so much trouble.

"Cute, Fun and Entertaining"
Cute, creative, fun adventure. Entertaining and full of imagination.
Ivy and Carrie end up getting a little more than they bargained for when they take their turn caring for a dragon egg. They are transported to a magical world where they meet a cast of unusual characters and have an amazing adventure.
Phillip J Mather does a good job with the narration overall. Good character voices. Especially the dragon. Little to fast pace in the narration. While he does a good job, for me I don't think he is the right narrator for a children's book. He has a very deep and masculine adult voice. It didn't fit the story for me, but that's just my personal opinion.

"Dragons, shape shifting teachers, world traveling and more"
The author delivers a romp through multiple worlds accompanying friends, baby dragons, princesses, talking birds and more. The story is amusing and entertaining. The characters are whimsical and fun. The bird was hilarious. The narrator does very well. I would love to hear him reading some hp lovecraft. I look forward to listening to more by both of them. "Straight Storytelling, but told in fast-forward"
Yes. I enjoyed the story, but I thought the narration was way too fast. Many times the dialog ran smack into the narration and the narration launched too quickly into dialog scenes. Also, scenes were crammed together. Silent pauses would have done wonders for the listening experience.
I enjoyed the dual adventures experienced by the girls.
Great dragon voice

"A lovely fantasy story for children."
I love being able to immerse myself in a story by closing my eyes and letting someone else take over.
It was such a fun fantasy adventure story for children.
I loved the way that Phillip J. Mather bought the story to life and all the characters in it.
Definitely and my grandchildren enjoyed listening to it too.
"Bringing the old world & new world together."
The story was very delightful. It touched on many subjects to allow for further discussion, but could be read for simple pleasure as well.
