The stage is set. It's war. Morbin Blackhawk, slaver and tyrant, threatens to destroy the rabbit resistance forever. Heather and Picket are two young rabbits improbably thrust into pivotal roles.
The fragile alliance forged around the young heir seems certain to fail. Can Heather and Picket help rescue the cause from a certain, sudden defeat?

"incredible story, excited for the next book!"
SD Smith doesn't disappoint with this wonderful continuation of Heather ans Picketts story. Joel Clarkson is an incredible narrator! if you are thinking about buying this audiobook, stop thinking and do it!!
"Excellent for the whole family!"
We are avid, AVID, readers and listeners of books on audible. We had an 18 hour drive in front of us and were looking for something new when we came across the Green Ember books. They are well written, excellent character development, thrilling action scenes (sometimes a little scary for littles) and most importantly demonstrate a deep philosophical view of good and evil. If you are fans of LOR and C.S. Lewis you will love this (admittedly more child-like) series. We are only sad that there is not yet a third book published in the series!
My husband and I, our 16 year old and 6 year old all loved the books. Great for the whole family. Narrator was very competent.
Great! loved the adventure...(SPOILER ALERT),................much betrayal though.........................but that makes it great! Buy the book its worth it. (Imperative)
"Wonderful Book For All Ages!"
An adventure full of interesting characters that you develop a love for throughout this book series. The twists and turns keep you listening. Best of all, this story weaver does not rely on bad language, sexual innuendo or content to capture the attention of the reader. He is gifted enough to make this a pure story for any age! The narrator is also masterful!
"Good book for tweens"
got this for my granddaughter and i think she will enjoy it. i found it to have just enough humor and excitement for a 19 year old. well developed characters and can stand on its own
Ember Falls was an amazing follow-up to the Green Ember. We enjoyed the narration of this one even more than the Green Ember. The character vocals were more interesting and the cadence was better. These books are very well written and enjoyable for the entire family. We can't wait for the next installment.
"Best Children's Book"
My 10 yr old daughter has fallen in love with this series. We are anxiously awaiting to next book. S.D. Smith is an excellent writer and leaves the kids in suspense where they are begging to hear more. His story writing peeks and holds their interests for hours!
The Green Ember and Blackstar of Kingston
This was the first story we have listened to that had Joel Clarkson as the narrator. Looking forward to hearing more from him.
This book was very hard to turn off.
Great for family read aloud for children 5-12 or read alone for children 9-12. Your children will truly enjoy this one!
"My kid favorite"
My kids' favorite! The story, the narrator, the emotions, the ending... All perfect! My kids are 9, 7, and 5 and all enjoyed this series. As a matter of fact, they are out in yard playing "Picket and Heather" as I type this!
after the set up of the story, the action was non stop with unexpected twists and surprises.
"A beautiful story of friendship and fortitude!"
A beautiful story of friendship and fortitude! Our whole family was drawn into this adventurous story and cheering on the brave rabbits with swords!
We can't wait for the next story in Heather and Picket's adventure.
