Publisher's Summary

The stage is set. It's war. Morbin Blackhawk, slaver and tyrant, threatens to destroy the rabbit resistance forever. Heather and Picket are two young rabbits improbably thrust into pivotal roles.

The fragile alliance forged around the young heir seems certain to fail. Can Heather and Picket help rescue the cause from a certain, sudden defeat?

    "Couldn't stop listening"

My only regret is that I didn't wait to listen to it after book 3 was released so I could listen to them together! I so hate waiting! Hope S.D. Smith writes many more books! What a gifted storyteller! And Joel Clarkson is one of the best...he has so many different voices that it is hard to believe it is one person reading.

"characters you'll love and love to hate"

listening to this book brings joy and sadness, a battle with out hope yet rabbits who hope any ways, betrayal, surprise's, plot twists. everything you could want in a read/listen. I have both books in the series and the prequel, none of them have disappointed me. I've listened to each several times already immersing myself in the broken and soon mended wood.

Yet again an AMAZING story of bravery and loyalty and fighting for GOOD against all odds. I absolutely loved it. So many twists. And the characters are so well developed. It was so well written. Joel Clarkson and his many voices made this story come alive. He was stellar.

    "Excellent for the whole family!"

We are avid, AVID, readers and listeners of books on audible. We had an 18 hour drive in front of us and were looking for something new when we came across the Green Ember books. They are well written, excellent character development, thrilling action scenes (sometimes a little scary for littles) and most importantly demonstrate a deep philosophical view of good and evil. If you are fans of LOR and C.S. Lewis you will love this (admittedly more child-like) series. We are only sad that there is not yet a third book published in the series!
My husband and I, our 16 year old and 6 year old all loved the books. Great for the whole family. Narrator was very competent.

    "Wonderful Book For All Ages!"

An adventure full of interesting characters that you develop a love for throughout this book series. The twists and turns keep you listening. Best of all, this story weaver does not rely on bad language, sexual innuendo or content to capture the attention of the reader. He is gifted enough to make this a pure story for any age! The narrator is also masterful!

    "Awesome book!"

Ember Falls was an amazing follow-up to the Green Ember. We enjoyed the narration of this one even more than the Green Ember. The character vocals were more interesting and the cadence was better. These books are very well written and enjoyable for the entire family. We can't wait for the next installment.

    "Best Children's Book"
What did you love best about Ember Falls?

My 10 yr old daughter has fallen in love with this series. We are anxiously awaiting to next book. S.D. Smith is an excellent writer and leaves the kids in suspense where they are begging to hear more. His story writing peeks and holds their interests for hours!

What other book might you compare Ember Falls to and why?

The Green Ember and Blackstar of Kingston

Have you listened to any of Joel Clarkson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was the first story we have listened to that had Joel Clarkson as the narrator. Looking forward to hearing more from him.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

This book was very hard to turn off.

    Any additional comments?

Great for family read aloud for children 5-12 or read alone for children 9-12. Your children will truly enjoy this one!
