Summary
Now available as an unabridged audiobook, Cherub: The Recruit is read by Simon Scardifield.
A terrorist doesn't let strangers in her flat because they might be undercover police or intelligence agents, but her children bring their mates home and they run all over the place. The terrorist doesn't know that a kid has bugged every room in her house, cloned the hard drive on her PC, and copied all the numbers in her phone book. The kid works for Cherub. Cherub agents are aged between 10 and 17. They live in the real world, slipping under adult radar and getting information that sends criminals and terrorists to jail.

Who would believe that kids are trained as spies?
If you could sum up Cherub: The Recruit in three words, what would they be?
uplifting, exciting, tough.
What other book might you compare Cherub: The Recruit to, and why?
Higher Institute of Villainous Education, although "HIVE" is training kids for future villainy, not to protect the country.
What does Simon Scardifield bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
All the characters are distinguishable either because of different accents, or different tones he uses. He is a great reader.
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Who would believe that kids are trained as spies?
Any additional comments?
Brilliant "boy come good" story where a talented, but troubled 11 year old finds his place in the world, and learns to use his talents in a positive way and stops getting in trouble with the police.

Best teen spy story ever.
What made the experience of listening to Cherub: The Recruit the most enjoyable?
I loved how its all the time intresting. There is not 5 minutes of story that you are not intrested of lissening.
Who was your favorite character and why?
James, I cant say that I totally like the guy, because sometimes he can be real brick. But hes intresting, you want him to be a good guy, and sometimes he fails.
Which character – as performed by Nathan Stewart-Jarret – was your favourite?
I liked all characters. I had read the book before and now when I lissend it I didnt feel once that "this character shouldnt sound like this". So i think it was very well read.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes. I didnt have the time, but I did lissen it when ever possible. It ended too soon.
Any additional comments?
Love the book. So sad that you dont have the othere episodes of this series.

Fantastic book
Fantastic narrator, brilliant story, looking forward to the second book in the series! It would appeal to fans of the Alex Rider series, and James Bond!

THE MOST UNDERRATED BOOK SERIES EVER
I remember not being a fan of books and when my mum handed me this book when I was 14, I was hesitant. Since then, I’ve become much more of an avid reader as a result. Going back over these books in audio form now as an adult and it’s bringing back many a good memory.
Highly recommend! Audiobook is also really well done
