"Great Book...terrible narrator"
I'm a big fan of Jon Gordon's work. The content of this book was great. However, the narrator was horrible. His intonation is soo annoying that I found this book very difficult to finish despite the great content.
Jon Gordon is a talented author and narrator. I hope that in the future he sticks to narrating his own books.
"A light yet insightful self questioning story"
Funnily enough i wasnt expecting such a light hearted and follow through story. I have read many practical books on finding my purpose and this has been one of the most inspiring, allowing me to question myself in the process of a fable. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to explore where they are at, why they may be there and just enjoy the story of a life and the signs in the offering. This book does make you think about the part you play in the bigger picture, and ultimately the choices that are yours. This will be a book i go back too when i need a rejuvenating view of a life - which is the ultimate review of an audio book from my perspective.
Jon Gordon continues to identify the things in life that matter most . His insight is a blessing to all of us.
So many wonderful lessons about growing as a person!
Recommend to all people and all ages!
"Corny, Simplistic, and Religion-based"
The most important thing in life is to find your one, God-given purpose. The end.
"Good story, so so narrator bearable on 1.5 speed"
Dharma the dog. Love the author's perspective on dogs and their reason for existing.
Narrator does a great job differentiating characters. Qualms I had about his voice were his inflection at the end of sentences, very strange inflection almost like up-talk, but with sports-caster deep-voice. Can't describe it better than that, very tough to listen to at regular speed, at 1.5 it wasn't quite as noticeable/irritating but it still made my skin crawl sometimes.
happiness comes from within not without.
Really awesome book, narrator has good character voices, I just wish there wasn't that odd inflection at the end of every sentence... it made my skin crawl.
"Find your purpose"
if you, like me, have every prayed and/or thought that your life has no purpose, then read this book and begin the four stages to find your purpose! Thanks Jon Gordon!
"LOVE IT!! 🙌🏽"
What a read. I'm sure 5 years from now I will give a big speech somewhere and talk about how this book helped me along the way. I'll start tomorrow. 🌳
No. The narrator's voice was really off putting for me.
"Geared more for the younger crowd!"
Not much that I didn't know already. I struggle to get through this because the narrators voice just grinded on my nerves! A lot of times I was just concentrating on how he was speaking. His speech was very bizarre and I couldn't figure out how anyone could speak like that! It just drove me crazy! I will definitely not listen to any other anything with Erik Synnestvedt's name on it! Uugghh!
