"Good content, annoying production"
The actual content was solid. The music in between every paragraph break (which occasionally is a single sentence) was obnoxious. The constant annoying distraction was frustrating and makes it hard to recommend the audiobook despite meaningful content.
"Remarkable and original approach"
When I first heard the book I thought for some reason it might be a bit amateurish, however I was truly amazed by the authentic nature of the author and the information he shares. His storytelling is endearing and it was actually a book I didn't want to stop reading.
As a practising marketer, the systems shared in this book have revolutionised the processes I use in my business day to day.
A lot of people reference the chapter on testimonials, which I agree, are worth the book price on their own.
However, the chapters on headline writing and risk reversal are also fundamental and unique compared with a lot of the mainstream books on marketing that revisit the same concept from 20 angles. Each chapter of this book has something unique to offer.
This is a great book for any business owner or marketer working on a tight budget and who's wanting their marketing campaign to cut through a sea of mediocrity.
Since reading this book, I've been enjoying what the author has to share in other forums: podcasts and online.
The author's style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but those that do will love his originality.
I'd recommend The Brain Audit for anyone looking for original tactics to make an impact and get results.
"One stop copy writing shop"
This is the best book on copy writing that I have come across. It's logical and easy to apply. This is the book I recommend to my friends and clients when they want to learn copy writing and marketing skills.
a short but powerfully useful book that had me nodding my head and thinking of how many changes I needed to make to my website and other advertising material.
"Is there a version without the little jingle?"
Great content and I'm sure there's a "psychological" reason for the jingle, but GOT DAMN. It became annoying. An audio book should just be someone reading what the book says in an attention-sustaining tone(not mono-tone)...the jingle every few sentences, maybe after each "paragraph" was too much!
Exceptional information. Easy to understand because it's so clearly explained. Good examples. Slightly repetitive, but primarily due to reviewing past points to establish context. Interesting and enjoyable. Great food for thought for any small/smaller business and a must read for someone going into business.
Required reading for any entrepreneur!
I loved his reading but the transition sounds were annoying.
