Summary

My employer is a major player within the retail industry. With experience it is fairly easy to indicate that the process of the store's operations begins with the supplier. Suppliers are responsible for inputs to a process, and my employer is involved in both external and internal suppliers. My employer offers a store brand that is produced within a separate department and a separate location that competes with the supplier's brand. This paper overviews how a retail supply chain works and why a supply chain is necessary in retail in order to stay one step ahead of the numerous competitors. I hold an associate's degree in business management technology and am a senior studying for a bachelor's degree in business management. Thanks, and I hope this document serves as a great learning or reference tool.
