What a great book! Very entertaining and a great insight into the advertising industry. Slightly annoying that a book by a British author has an American narrator, but I guess that's because it's mainly aimed at an American audience. Everyone can learn something about presentations from this book - but even if you didn't - it's a damn good listen!
Not time well spent. I expected more detail. Examples are used to illustrate a point made, but the examples are explained in so much detail the point being made is totally lost. The last part of the book uses the London 2012 olympic bid presentation as a summing up of the points made in the book: The problem is over 45 minutes of the book is devoted to describing what the presenters were like, and reading every single word they spoke with little examination of the importance of them. He talks about good presentations but doesnt go into detail about why they are good. I'm sure there are better, less dull books that have much more detail with much more to say on the subject of presentations. Bit disappointed as my motivation for getting this book was its mention in a really good talk. Oh well

I have listened twice already, and will keep coming back as everytime there is something else that will help business performance.

There are a number of great anecdotes and interesting stories in this book. On top of that, as an ad person, I found plenty of good advice here. I would have paid hundreds of dollars for these pearls.

This is one of my favorite sales/business books because there are so many non business examples that feel more "real worldish" involved. Jon does a great job of bringing us in to the board room with Steve Jobs or sitting opposite the Olympic Committee.
I've listen to and read a lot of books on this subject. This is one of the best. I've already used some of his techniques to close an account.
"Really amazing stories about pitching"
It is one of the greatest books about presentations and pitching I've ever read or listen. Jon is guiding reader throught world of professional presentations in adversting business. This book contains very interesting stories from real world about not only presenting, but also creativity and productivity. Autor is also sharing a few methods and tools for presenters. Suggested tools and methods aren't new in communication business, but in world of enterpreuners and revolutionaries, the are worth to recall them.
Performance is really nice for me, but keep in mind, that I'm not fluent in english (and especially I prefer US english than GB).
I have listened this audio, and I'm sure, that I will listen it again. I will also buy paper version of this book to have it as reference.

"Full of smug jargon and self-centred stories"
The book is full of stories from an outdated advertising industry. Unfortunately, I struggled to get any useful tips. Rather than providing the reader with guidance or relevant pointers, the author wanders off into smug advertising land. I find the content outdated and too old-school for writing a pitch of today. I'd recommend Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff instead.
I found this title annoying, for being about the perfect pitch there is to much story without substance.
"Waste of Time"
This book is full of BS. He just provides dead wood. talks about yoga for a third of the book and the rest is just a joke..

Dont buy it, and should be removed from Audible
The author has some great points on how to present to a prospect but also holds out information (he says it himself). I did not like the fact that he spends almost 40% of the book on his great Olympic bid presentation for London and felt like all that was just to stroke his ego. Also, the author is British and should have used a British person to record this .. it would have been certainly more fun.
