Summary

IMPORTANT UPDATE: This audio is the new recording by DJ Holte, which replaced the original inferior recording and also contains text that was added in the 2012 revised edition of Market Wizards.

What separates the world's top traders from the vast majority of unsuccessful investors? In this iconic financial classic, Jack Schwager sets out to answer this question in his interviews with superstar money-makers including Bruce Kovner, Richard Dennis, Paul Tudor Jones, Michel Steinhardt, Ed Seykota, Marty Schwartz, Tom Baldwin, and more in this audiobook.

This interview-style audiobook from a financial expert is a must-listen for traders and professional financiers alike, as well as anyone interested in gaining insight into how the world of finance really works.

Filled with anecdotes about market experiences, including the story of a trader who, after wiping out several times, turned $30,000 into $80 million, and an electrical engineer from MIT whose computerized trading has earned returns of 250,000 percent over 16 years.

One of the most insightful, best-selling trading books of all time, including 16 interviews!

Absolutely essential!

I have heard from so many traders that this is an absolute must read and can only repeat that statement! Completely timeless information, very good tips, interesting personal stories...
I very much liked the narrator as well!

Insightful

I’m new to the subject of trading and I found this to be an excellent audio book. Narrated really well and a good production. I particularly enjoyed learning about the traits of a good and bad trader. This book is not a “get rich quick”guide but it will certainly help you manage your losses better if you heed the advice given.

A must read for traders

There is not a lot more than I can say than the title. It is essential to hear what real traders feel like and how they reached their goal. A lot of them lose in the beginning and it’s so important to understand what makes traders successful.

Some blunders but good overall

it's a long book but it's easily digestible in the chapters format.. each trader gets a chapter that are roughly 35 to 40 mins long so if you cant spare hours to listen then 35 or 40 mins should get you through a chapter..

the content is very good and while no trader gives away their technique there are some tips on how to find good stocks

A gem.

Great book. Awesome content. Shocking editing. Full of page turns and restarts from the narrator. Still well worth a listen.

Excellent choice if you’re starting you trading journey

Great insights for the big players in the game. As a newbie trader I picked up a lot of good tips and saw a number of my own mistakes and some tips that I realised I do intuitively. Overall informative and useful for a new trader.

Enjoyable book

I loved this book, It will not help you develop a trading system or pick the winners but it will open your eyes to different methods for top traders and common mistakes of new traders, most of them I have done before myself. I wish I had listened to this book in my early trading days!

A very incisive and probing book

The striking thing about this book is the inquisitive nature of the author. I like his intelligent and probing style. It's more precise that Trading in the Zone. And I feel like a lot of the content is quite applicable to one's own trading.

There are a number of recurrent themes common to most of the interviewees such as: only risk 1% of your capital; cut your loses, let your winners run etc

The most interesting interviewee is Ed Sekota. He struck me as extremely intelligent and self aware with incredible intuition. The author himself is similar.

It was refreshing and encouraging to hear that so many of the interviewees had incredibly arduous and difficult starts in their trading careers. Some even had disastrous starts.
