Whether you are writing a letter or memo, making a speech, asking for a raise or promotion, making a point, or closing a sale, How To Get Your Point Across In 30 Seconds Or Less is an invaluable training tool for both business people and professionals. You will be amazed at your enhanced effectiveness when you discover how to use the 30 second message to get exactly what you want.

"A little dated in style but material is ageless..."

Ok, I agree with some of the reviews---a little corny. But actually, this style is undergoing a revival so don't dismiss it too quickly---ala Mad Men?

I got a lot from this book. I needed to learn to shut the hell up and not talk so much. Make the point and shut up.

The book helped me with that. Buy it.

    "I learned nothing new."

I recommend books from Tony Robbins or John Maxwell instead, or even How to Win Friends by Dale Carnegie.
    Wasted an hour and money.

"Not worth nearly $10 on audible"

This book covers the basics in about 45 minutes. For a $10 audiobook I expect to get more time & insights for the price. The recording itself is hokey which often distracts from the points it attempts to make. The principles are decent yet VERY basic and could be found via Google search for free...don't waste your money.

I normally talk too much and this will seriously help me rein that in.

    "No new news here"

The points in this book are the same as a high school writing class on how to write a paragraph.

The entire book is a little more than a marketing approach to how to convey your thoughts in the same way you would write a good memo.

Good for learning the basics, by nothing new to learn here.
