I think that I would like to hear this book again because i think that the content might be really good, but the reader has a type of voice that i find really difficult to listen to. The sound is also out.
I think that the author would have won me over if she wasn't the reader. other than that it was fine but I never got to the end of the book.
Brenda definitely should have had someone else read this. I felt like I was being talked to by a Sunday school teacher. Content is interesting. I think her process requires far more work than is needed. I seriously doubt that anyone is going to go through the trouble of developing the personal branding plan she recommends. I also disagree with her examples i.e emotional needs. I did like some of the quotes and the stories she tells however.
Not really. My friends are too old to care about career advancement, which is really the focus of this book. I read it simply to learn more about somebody else's perspective on personal branding, a subject I write about myself.
For me, her delivery seemed affected. Not real. Trying too hard. It became a major distraction until I eventually gave up on the book. A little too much "aren't I smart?" throughout, as well.
